So, I was eating Keebler Chips Deluxe Cookies (Oatmeal Chocolate Chip) last night and noticed that on the wrapper it said “Turn this wrapper into a Good Cause” – TerraCycle and interesting enough Keebler and TerraCycle have joined forces to collect and turn cookie wrappers into great eco-friendly products.

This really caught my attention enough to visit their website http://www.terracycle.net/ … It’s crazy the stuff that they are collecting to turn into everyday products. Not only that, but they will pay for you to ship the so called “Trash” to them. And on top of that they pay about $0.02 per piece – not directly to you but to a Charity of your choice. Now is that not AWESOME?

They have a counter on the site that previews the amount of people collecting trash (12,791,308) waste units collected (1,861,068,797) products from waste (186) and get this… the amount of money that has been donated to charities – by collecting trash (1,558,861.43)… No that is not a typo!

There are also 186 current products that are made from all these items that you can purchase (I will next time I need one of them) TWO THUMBS UP for this company!
